A bit of news. With BSG ending its run in the upcoming Season 4, the rumour mill now is that the next follow-up series. "Caprica", has been finally confirmed green light with production to start in 2 weeks' time. Source is from BGS Wikipedia. http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Caprica_%28serie s%29 The series will apparently be more drama than sci-fi though....
