Exclusive: "Mad Men" Creator Discusses the Kennedy Assassination by Adam Bryant Before "Mad Men"'s third season, fans wondered when, as in what year, series creator Matthew Weiner would resume the story. There was reason for the anticipation: In the Season 2 finale, Betty (January Jones) revealed to reformed womanizer Don (Jon Hamm) that she was pregnant, and viewers were curious how that would play out. But more...

I have to disagree though. I think they have ALWAYS looked at big picture when deciding the final contestants and that some seasons it comes down to the final challenge. This one didn't. I do completely agree about Nina's comment though...it seemed strange for her to say that when she was missing for a good chunk of the season.

I was just trying to come up with what episodes I thought were best for the cast of Mad Men to submit, should they be nominated or should the Emmys go back to the old system. It was hard, remembering what happened in what episode, so I thought that I would bring back Noble's thread from last year. I know that some people already put this in the "Grades & Analyses" thread, but I like to keep that one tidy with just grades and...

I enjoyed most of the series during its initial airing. It's just not holding up quite as well on DVD.

There was no excitement re Carol Hannah making it to the finale since I knew that she made it to the final 3 before the season even began. Someone on youtube posted interview clips of her and the person who uploaded it wrote that she makes it to the final 3. I actually liked her gold finale dress. But I'm still hoping Irina the bitch wins.

quote: Is there enough mockability in Twilight? Maybe I could watch it like that? You could mock the visuals and the God awful acting, but that's about it. The entire plot (and not just for the first film, but the entire series) is so rage-inducing, it'll make you want to commit random acts of violence.

The platinum standard was, is and remains Edie Falco baiting her way to 2003 Emmy victory when Jennifer Garner clearly, in the eyes of everyone except the doofus voters, reigned supreme. THE most shameful robbery. Falco out-Hargitay-ed Hargitay in look-at-me, give-me-my-props. And that's saying something.

Megan Mullally was amazinballs! I wish she gets nominated comes July because God knows she deserves it! BTW If Poehler gets nominated too I don't mind because she grew up as an actress and is really good here.

There's a difference between Falco's tape, which was a natrual outcome of a four year storyline, and Hargitay's, which is created so she'll have something to submit and a tape to show off and draw viewers in. Falco's tape may have been baity, but it wasn't made to win emmys. It was made because that's where the story needed to go. If you want to call that a baity tape, then almost ever tape ever submitted is...

I watched the preairs to the first two eps of the season. The show is more an extension of season 2 type material than season 1 but still very funny.

The initial ' Blue Ribbon Panel' set-up was ridiculous, with its confusing grading system and the possible scruppleless members that got to vote. I think Keifer's win was more of a get-him-the-hell-out-of-the-way-so-we-don't-have-t o-worry-about-giving-him-a-win-later. I think even if James would have come into play it likely still would have been Keifer's gold. It's hard to say whether Falco ...

That week-to-week drop for "The Jay Leno Show" is remarkable. But as it's essentially the same recipe as " The Tonight Show" how does it compare in the ratings during Leno's tenure?

I don't think Kiefer Sutherland deserved to win for 24, especially during Season 5. I know it was the best overall season but he wasn't at his best. He just got swept in with all the love. Martin Sheen or Peter Krause would have made much better winners in my book. I don't know if anyone else feels the same way here, but that was one win I didn't care for. Also, Tony Shalhoub. All three ...

I'm glad we liked the same people, LadyHathor25. I agree that it was a hot mess, but Leanne's and Korto's general excellence made it my second favorite season, only runner-up to Season 2, with the glorious Daniel Vosovic. Hm, that'd be interesting to learn, bottomchef. I wouldn't be surprised to learn most of Jeff's designs were inspired during his druggie haze. (I hate him. He made some FUGLY ...
