If we're talking GGs, if Harvey wants it drama and Nine musical/comedy so they don't compete against each other, they'll be happy to say, whatever you want, boss.

AN EDUCATION: News and Reviews
Published (2009-11-09 17:22:00)
Just asked my local movie theatre manager "Are we getting An Education?" and he said "Nope. Not getting that one." Weird decision, seeing as the ads are all over TV at the moment and down in the capital and the other big cities it is playing at all the "mainstream" cinemas.

Best Supporting Actress Race

And out of all of the BSA noms, only DeNiro won, and he was arguably a Lead. I wonder if five acting noms for Tom Jones is a (tie) record? And they all lost, to Sidney Poitier, Melvyn Douglas, and Margaret Rutherford, with Patricia Neal winning BA. For GF2, Pacino lost to Art Carney, Lee Strasberg and Michael Gasso lost to De Niro, of course. and Talia Shire lost to Ingrid Bergman, with Ellen Burstyn winning BA that year. I take it there is...

We've gave reasons besides screentime that make it seem unlikely. Amy Adams was in Doubt even longer than Davis and the role and performance were just as flashy as the other parts. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Jilpen , November 08, 2009 04:52 PM

Swinton was lucky that virtually no one saw this potentially career-destroying performance. Funny. Just weeks ago, people were calling her an Oscar contender. Strange that such a career-destroying performance could have landed her on the red carpet.

Book of Blood John Harrison, 2008 WHAT is it about sex in attic rooms of stately old houses? That's just one of the questions I would pose to Clive Barker, from whose erotically and brilliantly twisted mind this horror show sprang. Solid tech work delivers an interesting, stylish movie with unexpected twists and more than a touch of irony. Grade: B+

Sandra Bullock? Depends on how weak best actress is this year. If the film gets decent to good reviews, and solid box office, she could certainly be in the running. I could see her getting two Golden Globe nods (one for The Proposal, and one for The Blind Side).

It qualified in 1978 in LA when the distributor opened it for a week. When Jackson did not get a nomination for best actress, the film (which still did not have a distributor) went into hiding until someone actually picked it up and released it in the 1980s.

Kathryn Bigelow has been one of the most underutilized talents of the last couple of decades in American film. She should have had the chance to direct any number of films that would have been award contenders. She has a reputation for being "strong" and certain of what she wants in a film, which is something considered a good thing in male directors but usually doesn't help women directors' ...
