Check out my sig. Toughest part was drilling on my back, to mount the sensor bracket in the driveshaft tunnel. Audiovox unit cost around $100 from JC Whitney. No longer listed. http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg54/FamiliaSalazar/Cartech/Induction/CCModule.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg54/FamiliaSalazar/Cartech/Induction/CCPickUp01.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg54/FamiliaSalazar/Cartech/Induction/CCPickUpBrkt.jpg...

LED headlights, there may be a way
Published (2009-12-07 10:12:00)
Hi again, So I was trying to think of different ways to attack this problem, and I think this is a better option because the LED itself won't block the path of light. There's another conic section called a hyperbola that, like the ellipse, has two focii (focuses). Any light rays from the first focus will bounce off of the hyperbola directly away from the second focus, so the rays seem to have the second focus as their origin. So, you...

by the sound of it, all accessories that are switched by the ignition are cutting out at the same time, but accessories that aren't switched by the key aren't affected? assuming so, you quite possibly have a failing igintion switch, or related wires.

Hey, you guys really need to get a subscription to Mustang Monthly!!! Across the front cover, NEW! LED HEADLIGHTS for vintage mustangs. I never took algebra, geometry, but reading I did well, and this is another technical step forward with respect to stepping up our Mustang's reliability with new electronics. Happy Mustanging!!!!!

Absolutely it can be done!! I have installed bunches of these things. Not much more than power, ground, vacuum. The hardest thing about doing it on a vintage car is that there is no speed sensor hook-up, but that is remedied with a magnetic kit that attaches to the driveshaft for speed reference.

http://www.thecruisecontrolstore.com/installinst.html I have not put one on since the 70's. I think I have it in a box. I stripped it off a car when I scrapped it. I remember when Sears, JC Penney's etc used to sell these in their catalogs. JC Whitney usually has listings for them too. Doug

Back up slowly, don't go to a bigger fuse Find the problem. The ipod devicce works fine in another vehicle, OK. And the cigarette lighter socket had to be replaced, Why? What was wrong with the original? Is the problem repeating? Sounds like a bad short some where.

They are just little aluminum cups screwed to the underside of the dash frame. Maybe you can get a couple at the salvage yard.

I'm not a resident "expert", but kind of sounds like a lousy ground to me. My twisted logic is this: - When the lights are "on", you are actually poviding a ground to the system through that circuit. When you turn them "off", you are opening that circuit, hence no ground anymore. - Brake Lights: Same thing. When brake lights are on there is current flow to ground. But... when they're "off", that ...

Also check the belt and pullies before condemning the alternator. If the belt is glazed, or the wrong width, the tension adjustment won't help. Likewise, if the pullies are mismatched or the sides of the "v" aren't gripping the belt, then the belt will slip. Just because the belt has the right number on it or was given to you by the parts store as "right" means little--a belt can be a little ...

Did you check voltage prior to installing the 3G? Is it possible that the old setup was producing a higher voltage? Just guessing, food for thought. I have no Idea as to your other question. Fred
