How to contact a uploader?
Published (2009-12-30 02:50:00)
More than likely not since the uploads are done by people from all over the world---some of which may not know how or may end up incomplete. There is no upkeep with maintenance or integrity of the uploads.

"Decompressing"
Published (2009-12-29 16:37:00)
The file I downloaded is a multipart pdf file. How does one decompress this? I can't find any instruction and Adobe doesn't like the .001 file.

How to contact a uploader?
Published (2009-12-29 14:39:00)
I have found a pdf that is missing some pages. Pdf contains page links to non existent files. Looks like uploader accidently forgot to include them, because of their obscure file names. I don't want to report it as broken, because it not broken. Can I send message to the uploader?

Multipart PDF? I think you misunderstood or perhaps the description may be vauge. To the best of my knowledge most all multiparts are RAR format files not PDF. You can divide a PDF file into sections by means of RAR or ZIP utility & need to have the corresponding utility to decompress it.

Did you even look to see what forum you posted this in? Site feedback? Seriously? And I'm rather confused. Buick makes cars. Are you saying you're looking for schematics for a CRT in your car ? If so, that's pretty awesome But still, I don't think there's a single more "wrong" forum to post this in than the one you did. Have you even bothered to Google for it?

I'd like to see this as well. I feel stripped of identity without my avatar... Plus, it just looks more professional than a forum of people that essentially have no identifying marks by their posts...

Okay, I know it's in phpBB, but it hasn't been turned on... I've encountered a few topics here so far that either violate the rules in some way or belong in a different forum. But the Report Post button is missing, so I can't bring this to the attention of any mods. Well, with the site activity so low, it's hard to believe mods would need help keeping up, but still, maybe a few topics ...

Maybe you didn't read the 'sticky's on how and where to post. Or maybe your post didn't propagate at all, did you check? Sometimes that happens. It's not random, you can edit your post if it is the first one on the page. Meaning, you can edit your first post in topic you opened, and 11-th post of any other thread (first post on page 2) if you happen to be an author of that post. This goes on for every 10-th post: 21-st (first on page 3). 31-st (first on page 4), etc., if the thread goes that long. Beats me why this odd ...
