In general, the current draw is limited to no more than 500ma through a USB by design limitation regardless of the device. Depending on the device in question, as long as you are below 500ma, you should be OK. (
hence the reason for wanting to use a separate adapter).
Another USB design criteria is the ability to shut down if/when 500ma is exceeded. Of course not sure of this validity for every...

Hi All.
I've got a kaput DS which is possibly fixable, but not sure. I know nothing about electronics apart from school level physics (and that was some time ago) - can use a

I have just bought an idea, i don't have it yet but i have been reading up about it and i understand the radio problem is common, apparently there is a
micro switch that controls the cd which sometimes mistakenly thinks a cd has been inserted thus waking up the radio and flattening the battery. apparently the quick fix is to leave a cd in the slot.
Hope this helps.

Sorry, you make no sense whatever!
A 120V
computer case fan?? All the ones I've seen recently run from the 12V power supply.
As for amperage - there's no such word. Are you referring to current??
Current is measured in Amps, short for Ampères.
