Just because she said so, and you know you dont want to doubt a woman, right? Even if she was wrong or I was wrong, who really cares.

Always helps to ask first. If I'm buying, I sure as heck would want to know what I'm getting. BTW, nothing wrong with a Westway so I'll leave my gun alone.

I'll take a Westway anytime! I've got to be honest, and no criticism of any fellow members own preferences for collecting these things, but I find the comments regarding things such as the shape of cockpit windows interesting. I've been collecting these types of models since 1975, some of the models in my collection are by the likes of Skyland, Westway, Civil Display Models and a few manufacturers own models from the 60s. IMO...

They are hand- made to order. I have two 1:100 pieces. One is the first Hawaiian L-1011 made by Bader and the other is the second PSA L-1011 made by Bader. Even over 10 years ago they cost $400 each.

I may just have to dig deep in my pockets, if I really want it. I think it will go for big bucks.

It was most likely Air Canada.
This actually seems to be a fair price for a cutaway of this magnitude, especially if the winner could do the restorations himself. The photos of the underside show the original paint scheme wasn't likely in very good condition before the repainting. The missing chrome tripod stand shouldn't be too hard to replicate.
This isn't a bad deal for this model. ...

A beautiful model. I have a question and none of my sources could tell me. Did the real Britannia's props spin the U.S. direction (clockwise when viewed from behind) or the British direction (CCC when viewed from behind)?

They are no longer around (at least for two decades or so, perhaps a bit less)...I believe they were bought by Atlantic Models, though none of their line survives.
You can pick them up on Ebay pretty commonly...around $20 or so for a 1/200 scale DC-8, 707, 727 etc on a plastic stand. Not the greatest mould, but a great size if you just want to collect small scale models.

Welcome aboard Mr Jumbo. Not so much going on with Aeromini these days. Guess you've been scanning the bay for the odd bargain ? You'll probably have to buy a junk 707 to get that engine nacelle you're looking for. They're around, try swapmeets if there are any in your area.
Decals: There will be something that you can cobble together somehow I reckon, but I'm no expert on U.S. model ...

Isn't a 1/150 an odd off the wall size? I'm not sure there too many manufactures making that size.
