I did not see in there "stop allowing private financial institutions from operating on fiat".
It is difficult to not agree with your feelings, but I still believe it could be a lot worse. That is a difficult battle to strive to make things better at the risk of making them worse.
Are you now running for office? Or simply clamoring to be heard?

A lot of newer DSLRs will take lenses from older bodies. But it depends on which DSLR body you get and what body he had.

Chromium is based on WebKit.
Konqueror is...bundled with KDE, I think they have their own engine.
Honestly though, if you think Firefox is costing you in incorrectly rendered pages, then just about nothing on Linux will save you. If you want the ubiquitousness of IE, then you need IE. Personally, I have almost 0 problems with alternatives anymore, but I guess it depends ...
