Ultimately - i wouldn't worry about Google PageRank. It has absolutely no baring on where your site will appear in Google SERPs. I've seen thousands of cases where pages with lower PageRank appear before pages with higher PageRank in Google search result pages.

yeah you may be right but backlinnks should be there and contents should be of good quality and unique. directory submission, forum posting. social bookmarking are also equally important.

I think you might want to analyze your competitors via some tools like backlinkhunter or seo4firefox add-on for Firefox. They both would generate PR value of backlinks for you.

These are some good ideas here. SEO and Pay Per Click are very effective. One thing that wasn't mentioned that I actually find the most effective is well-written articles and press releases distributed both online and offline. I've found this the best way to get highly targeted traffic.

There are many things you can do to bring more traffic on site like working on forums, Social media sites, article submission and most important more frequent content updation on your site.
