Linksys WRT600N slows down
Published (2009-12-01 15:15:34)
Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by "slowing down". Do you mean your inbound bandwidth drops the longer your router stays up? I have two high-level suggestions: flash to the latest Linksys firmware and if that doesn't work, flash to third-party firmware - DD-WRT or Tomato. If you do either of those, make sure you read the instructions VERY carefully and know exactly what you need to do (such as the 30-30-30 reset for...

Hello, The topology depends on where are you going to use the computers. If the buildings are in one room or in the whole building. Also if the computer should have any security policies. There is a lot written about it on net. But prior doing any setup you should consider all the requirements for the setup. OSI Layer ???????????
Published (2009-11-27 00:00:00)
Hello Rajiv, Basically the OSI model is a 7 layer model that was designed to help troubleshoot networks easily and isolate problems according to the protocol they use and the layer in which the problem is. That is just basically, but the stuff is really wide! so more details on what you really need, Take care.

expanding wireless network

yes, that will work. you must turn off dhcp on one of the wireless access points (wap). otherwise, both will be offering addresses and, what a mess you will have. should you find problems, try turning down the power on both wap. (that is a setting from within your wap's software.)

how about a project on " Honey Pots"
Honey Pot security means you set up a server somewhere on-line and TRY to hack it, while applying fixes to vulnerbilities and finding more vulnerbilities

U may have to change/lower your browser settings, it could be that simple, however, this is usually a firewall related issue.
