Let's try something different. There are 30 days in September. Let's post comics with numbers matching the day of the month starting tomorrow. So tomorrow bring out your number 1's, Tuesday your number 2's, etc. Any company, silver age or pre-silver. I may even have a non Superman or Superboy comic to contribute

A couple of good friends of mine suggested in another thread that I post all my White Mountain books in one thread so hear it goes. Personal Backstory: For the past few years I had been collecting ASM pretty much exclusively with a focus on the Goblin cover books. I found that much of a narrow focus to be fairly limiting and almost boring, so I new I had to spice things up a bit or be out of ...

You know, I have been thinking of putting up for auction some on my high/mid grade issues of early/mid-60s House of Mystery, House of Secrets, Tales of the Unexpected, and My Greatest Adventures. While these issues are considered DC's second string sci-fi titles (behind Mystery in Space and Strange Adventures), they do have the sporadic Kirby gem, Nick Cardy cover, or compelling Mark Merlin ...

We've had an ASM, FF, ToS, TTA, and even a journey into Space thread, but I couldn't find a Journey Into Mystery Thread which is one of my favorite SA series. Here are a couple of copies I picked up at Comic-Con last weekend: JIM #119: JIM #120: POST 'EM IF YOU GOT 'EM

Look up Archies joke book #66 in the O-street guide the variant price edition. Archie comics were being test marketed with both 12c and 15c cover prices in the early 1960s. I sold an Archies Laugh #144 comic from 1963 with a 15 cent cover price on it about 2 years ago. I was blown away when I looked at the title page and it clearly stated 12c per copy inside the comic. I had a dealer check his ...

Back about the time I stopped collecting comics Animal man was making a resurgence of sorts. I haven't yet seen SA 180 for sale. Does this book have status as a minor key? Is there any demand for it?

I was thinking about starting a mission... I have the "Spider-Man Handbook: The Ultimate Training Manual". Basically, it teaches you how to be like Spider-Man. I don't know if anyone's heard the story about the guy who "traded up" from a paper clip to a house (he started with a paper clip and kept trading it up until he owned a house!)... I'm looking for suggestions on how I can begin "...

Is this book still one of the top books in the Silver Age ? I remember it was pretty hot in the 90's, but now seems to have cooled off a bit. what's the future of this book ? I was thinking about picking up a decent copy, but if I'm going to be wasting my money (long term), I can always find more GA to buy instead. just wondering.

Who has a copy and in what grade? When did you buy it? Any interesting stories to share concerning the purchase or trade? What do you store it in? Pictures welcome. This thread is inspired from the Amazing Spider-Man collecting thread. I thought I read somewhere that there were an estimate of about 2000 copies out there, but seems like there are more than that. I got my copy in 1993, ...

I believe this issue coincides with X-Men #3 which plays into the background color gradations of X-Men #4 which just may be the greatest X-Men cover of all time...as a fellow artist, this is interesting and would be an interesting topic of exploration in the Marvel realm for discussion...not that it was unique and certainly had appeared in GA/prior but what the mind-set was at the time...
