Don't look like its going to happen , didn't get enough work done during the good weather. Talked to some kids who live in the area who said "they havent done anything in there sence sept."

Slow is definitly the trick. If your really out to just stick a fish or two, suspending a
fathead or roach under a float is a good way to go.

I've had a lot of experience with these small '
gills. I would suggest not even going after them. They may look big from the shore, but they're all probably dinks if they're that stupid to attack your bobber. I don't mean to sound harsh, but going after these guys will most likely be a waste of your time. The only good reason I can see for catching a couple of them is to use them as bass bait....

Managed to get out for a bit during lunch. Threw a red, white, chartreuse 1/2 oz spinner bait w/gold double willow blades. Bouncing off the bottom again. Water was pretty stained, about 1 foot visibility, pretty windy.
Caught in about 5 feet of water 10-15 yards
off shore. Not a big one, but fun none the less. Lost spinnerbait however, got hung up in the rocks.

DuPage Forest Preserve who is registered here, can you PLEASE tell me when Mallard Lake is going to open, im dying to get out there. Also, will carry ins still be permitted? Thanks.
