Published (2009-12-30 00:00:00)

Spinning combos, I put more money into the rod rather than the reel. I think that feel is more important with the type of fishing done with spinning set-ups. Frogg Toggs I have found are hands down the best rain gear. They are super light for the spring and summer and you can buy them large enought to wear over warm clothes for the fall and winter.

I expect I'm the exception to the rule, as I don't troll, fish for musky, etc.
I have five rigs.
One of which I've not touched in 10 years.
(salmon rig, 6.5' med/heavy spinning combo with 15lb test)
the four that are not covered in dust:
Two spincast set ups for bass/walleye/whatever strikes. one's a two pc. 6.5' med. rod with ultrathin 8lb mono on the reel, the ...

It's the main theme/line from the movie " Christmas Story"... "Ralphie, you'll shoot your eye out"... I don't think there is any place in Cook County that you can legally shoot your air rifle, outside of your own home(and then even then it might be illegal)... You can shoot it at a regular gun range or you can head out into the "Super Boonies" like the Kettle Moraine and shoot pine cones and corn ...

Have at it guys.
Really, I have spoken with Jim and he thought my suggestion of just letting folks ask him whatever was a good one.
So if you have ideas, questions, gripes about past shows, Jim wants to hear it.
Don't pound on him too bad (ok, who am I kidding, from you guys?) but here is a chance to talk straight with the owner of the show.
Concerns? Questions?
Bring it!
