Please see ReadMe First : Quote: 1. Post your question to the correct forum; Do not double-post. This may seem obvious but please try to ensure you post your question to the correct forum and in the correct section (eg, for CentOS 3, 4 or 5 etc). If you are unsure in which forum your question belongs, please do NOT double post in multiple forums. Most of us read ALL the forums so we will see your question. Therefore, posting in multiple...

Oliver , I've given Ned a ping, pointing him to your post. To help the ELRepo admin team, would you please provide full details and make your RFE at the ELRepo bug tracker . There's three reasons why we request this: (1) Not all ELRepo admins constantly monitor the CentOS fora (2) The information is collated in a central place -- which leads on to (3) Other contributors to ELRepo , who are not CentOS users, will then see the...

Alan I have been reluctant to install any rpm's from repo's other than centos and rpmforge. But I installed the codecs and codecs-extra you listed. Hopefully mplayer picks them up with no other configuration required. I only installed them on comp 1 comp 1 : wont run the movie with mplayer xxx.xxx.xxx.DvDrip.FxM mplayer xxx.xxx.xxx.DvDrip.FxM -cache 8192 seek error end of file but will run it with an error using gmplayer...

That is still a positive! That indicates a viable PDF for some type of other attempt. For example "pdf2ps" or "pdftops" to create a PS doc then got to an image format (maybe) with convert.

I know this is an old thread by now, but wanted to add my thanks as well. 0.8.4 wasn't working with some trackers. Umask now has 0.8.5 which worked like a charm, and I wanted to add my thanks.

Jim , As mplayer and the associated packages with the .rf tag are from the RPMforge repository, you will probably be better off asking about your issue on the RPMforge users' mailing list .

This is sufficiently similar to your earlier post that it is doubtful any new help will be forthcoming. Verges on dual-posting. https://www. centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php ?viewmode=flat&topic_id=23797&forum=45

Please check to see if the lm_sensors package that is available from the ELRepo site is appropriate for your use.

Have you tried to just see if it is an embedded image with " pdfimages"? Edit: Sorry, should have noted that pdfimages is part of the poppler-utils package.

Caution and paranoia are good attributes when dealing with your company's or personal data! Having removable storage (tape, external drive, drive caddy) can play a role in adding extra safety (often at the expense of more complicated). However response time in retrieving data is also important. I like the *addition* of rdiff-backup ( http://www.nongnu.org/rdiff-backup/ and pre-build rpm) to my ...

I would recommend that you raise this issue on the RPMforge suggest mailing list -- http://lists.rpmforge.net/mailman/listinfo/suggest -- and request that the libcurl version be updated.

Welcome to the CentOS fora. First you should follow the procedure in the CentOS 5.4 Release Notes to update- 5.2 is very old. If you upgrade to the supported version you may have better luck. The required reading will point you to some resources for getting and installing software. As far as BBC podcasts, perhaps others can offer specific suggestions, but you may find the Wiki can be a ...

As your issue is related to the use of a package from the RPMforge repository, it would be more appropriate to ask for help on the RPMforge users' mailing list .
