I suspect it is a PATH problem. Use full path to all executables. I would write an init.d file for the service. man chkconfig

Never mind... Looks like the BitTorrent download died during the evening, and there's currently no Peers or Seeds. Not to mention the lack of any type of feedback. Both lead me to believe that CentOS on Sparc hardware just isn't happening by many/any others Best, :)

You other thread in CentOS-5 has been closed and a redirection notice added. Are you running the driver from the Nvidia site or the nv driver included in the kernel?

Does fdisk -l find the drive? If so, you need to partition, format, and mount the drive. Please do the required reading: http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewforum.php? forum=47 and http://www.centos.org/docs/4/

I don't think that you must modify the inittab file. if you modified it that the OS will be started in text mode.you have to use startx or init 5 when you want to have a window mode. I have been used nvidia VGA card on Centos or Redhat AS 3/4 more than 4 years. when you need install a driver for it. please don't use the newest driver for it, of cause you may use newer driver for your VGA Card. ...
