I have this CD/DVD drive in my Dell Dimension E310. I am trying to figure out the jumper configuration but, I cant find any diagrams or any other help on the internet. Is anyone familiar with how the jumper configuration works on this drive? I am trying to figure out how to set it between master and slave.

Have to have a drive that supports it, basically what it does is formats the full disc in the background when you are not writing anything to it. That's my best guess anyway!

Hello I have a Dell E521 desktop with win xp and a TSST DVD-RW (internal, OEM). The other day, instead of ejecting my thumb drive "safe to remove hardware...", I accidently ejected my DVD-RW drive. It disappeared from "my computer." Device manager found it, but with error 41. It would not play/write any media, though there is power to it. I googled this and did the following things ...

Can you guys recommend a good ( SATA) drive for audio extraction? I am using Exact Audio Copy and looking for accuracy above anything else. The drives I'm looking at are Samsung SH-203 (when I can actually find one, they seem hard to find now) and Pioneer's DVR-216, however, I'm really not sure if one is better than the other, or if either drive has any particular weaknesses. I'd love some advice...

Re: The top 5 Optical drives of 2008 (CD Freaks members choice) Guess not many people have the Sony Blu-rays, to much money for them, anyways the LG's are better and way less money. I am curious how the LG GH22 does, I really like it so far. Thanks for another great poll there Dee-27
