Hi all I'm rather curious to know exactly what are differences between the three series of Corsair PSU: TX, HX and VX. The HX series is the higher priced, but reading at the Corsair website there is no really useful information about the differences among these series. I'm planning to buy the Corsair HX620W, but the TX750W has a lower price, so I'm rather confused I wonder if...

This might be a vista bug, IIRC. Try using an IDE ODD. Or try using IDE mode instead of AHCI mode in the bios.

I have to change the memory I'm going to get. The one I was going to get is sold out. This is the one I was going to get. When I was asking for advise, it was suggested, and no-one shot it down. This is the one I'm going to get since the first one is sold out. Besides price (which doesn't concern me... much), there's not much of a difference right? I'm just trying to keep from making a ...

I've got an Acer Aspire E360 and can't figure out to get the DVD/RW drive out, I disconnect all the cables and pull the drive back as far as I can, about half an inch, but then it won't move any further. Is there anyone who can help me getting this drive out to replace it?

Thanks for the suggestion, chef. It looks like my drive already has DMA mode enabled. I noticed there was an update for my firmware, so I just installed that. That seems to have cleared up some of the problems I was experiencing. The computer isn't grinding to a halt while burning anymore, and it is no longer taking 45 minutes per disc to burn. But, what's still strange, is my ...

Welcome back If it were me I would get this MSI card with aftermarket heatsink already on there, the rebate brings the price down to reason. If you get one with a stock cooler on it realize that the bios will probably need to be flashed to fix the fan speed issue that a lot of them are having [they're running hot]. When I had an ATI card I was able to modigy the firmware and put my own...

I'm looking at building my first home server to be used primarily as storage for large files like music, films, backups etc., it will connect to the PC in my room via my router. My budget is max. £170 and the components don't need to be high tech as the server will just sit there and store/receive files. What I require: ========== *Motherboard - requires at least 3xPCI slots; inbuilt...

Alright so i would like to know the minimum required CPU speed for decoding media. MP3 can be decoded for very little CPU if i remember correctly. Im want to know what it would be for a DVD to decode. Its a tough question i know, it varies between the OS the hardware and so forth and so on, but im looking for a rough estimate is all. I REALLY want to know if a nano ITX board can decode...

Looking at some DDR3, 1600mhz, 2 x 2gb sticks, which would you say is better; this; http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146059 or this; http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=78 7783 the timings on the OCZ kit are; 7-7-7-24 and on the Corsair kit are; 9-9-9-24 Any thoughts?? I'm thinking the OCZ one's are the better buy?
