I've had some "gold" noname CD medias since the mid 90s. I never thought any good about them, as nothing is printed on, and therefor I don't know what brand it is. But the bottom side, which always gets scratched is of a
golden color. I took some of them, and run them though Q-check with my PX-755A drive, and guess what. Those medias have the same readings as my newly burned Verbatim quality ...

How can one explain these differences? Half a year ago I bought Plexter/TY-CDRs, all of them have average-c1-errorrates (tested at 10-24x) of about 0,5-0,6 The Plextor/TY CDRs I recently bought have c1-rates of
1,6-2,0? Writer: Plextor Premium (latest FW), burnt at 16x. Has TY differnt production plants? Or are the CDRs fakes I bought recently? Have there any Plextor-CDRs-fakes been seen ...

Burned with TSSTcorp SH-S182M (SB02); 702MB burned. I bought some
Verbatim 700MB 52X CD-R LightScribe 30 Pack Cake Box Disc 94934- Retail from Newegg on 11-2-06. My S182 won't pick up the ID for some reason. Not the worst media around. Both discs burned by the scanner, first one at 32x, second one at 52x. Sold as SHIVAKI 52x. BTW : Sorry about the size - forgot to minimize the damn window!
