Motor wiring - British Car Forum
Published (2009-11-22 16:57:00)
I doubt it, as leg 1 and leg 2 are 120 volts each, using the common wire as the second wire in a 120 volt circuit. Combining leg 1 and leg 2 along with the common wire gives you 240 volts. You can switch leg 1 and 2 and nothing changes in a 240 circuit. Now were talking single phase of course. 3 phase, which is usually, but not always 480 volts and very common in industrial applications, is another story.

But, I'll give it a shot Hey, Had to do some modifying "The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well : Bonus Question: Is H*ll exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?...

New Healey.. - British Car Forum
Published (2009-11-22 23:03:00)
Well Baba, That's not even yesterdays news. It's the day before. Those photos have been floatin' around since before HFI was taking people's money for their version of the new Healey. This was before China bought the rights for the Austin name I believe. Anyway HFI's website hasn't been updated for almost 3 years. New(er) Healey I wonder how many people made a downpayment, and if they got their money back.

You won't find a small British car that runs (or could be made operable) for $500, even a TR7 coupe (which tends to be the cheapest LBC around). You're better off finding a very old Honda Civic or similar. Civics are very easy to cheaply tune for speed and they're fine handling cars as stock. -William
