Cargo barrier question?
Published (2009-11-08 15:49:00)
Yeh not keen on drilling holes with a plastic fuel tank underneath! was thinking the rear tie downs are used somehow for fitting, but was also thinking do the lower brackets actually mount under the rear seat to the seat belt anchor bolts?

I got my snorkel and poly air bags fitted today. I'm over the moon with the gear. But I learnt one thing! Just because your air filter box says "This contains a finer filter" does not mean there is a finer filter in there. The mechanic was nice enough to tell me it was a paper element. I had a funny feeling it was, and after replacing it with a new one, the XJ runs smoother now! Lesson: Don't trust anything you read!

Auto transmission lines to cooler?
Published (2009-11-11 15:39:00)

I cut-out the damaged sections out and put in the rubber transmission hose. They mention on the site you suggested that this happens when the "swaybar is disconnected and is flexed". This may have been my thrill seeker son...

Yep.. You are correct. The top bolt hole had cracks on the inside and outside. Just finished replacing the bolts. Big job getting the old broken bolts out. Need to check the other jeeps soon. How do I get Jeep to fix the chassis. It is a 95 Jeep, so she's very long in the tooth..

After lurking on the forums for a couple of years i decided to finally give up on the toyotas and i bought a '95 XJ sport.
It cost 5 grand and come with an alloy bullbar, spotties, radio, 2 inch lift (shithouse), and brand new 31's (shithouse) with a home made rear wheel carrier which is pretty good.
Ive given it a decent service and new fluids almost everywhere. It generally runs on the ...

Can any one tell me why I shouldn't fit a dare I say it Ford Exsplorer diff to the rear of my 98 XJ. It has disc brakes and I think it should be a lot stronger than a Danna 30.

I'd suggest staying away from the KK as there is no mod equipment for them at this stage, and so few are selling in Australia the after market guys will not develop products like Snorkels, and bullbars. The KJ Cherokee is an option, especially with the turbo-diesel; and the more recent ones (05 onward) come with Brake Locked Diffs (BLD) which provides Locker functions (so lifting a wheel need ...
