Many of us had the 64-bit problem. Fax1.com finally has a 64 bit version that works great on XP and Vista. It is the most reasonable online fax service available, Fax1: Internet Fax Solutions , and has served me well since 2001 (except for the period it didn't have a 64 bit version). All you need is an internet connection. It sends faxes in a host of software formats, Fax1: Internet Fax Solutions . It has 32 and 64 bit software versions....

Thanks for the help eeelee, I already proved my innocents. They pulled up my action scrpit from the day it appeared and someone transfered the file onto my computer when i steped out of the room for a minute. Lesson learned, always lock your computer! Thanks, Ben

You can download eFax on a 64 bit computer, but for some reason, you just can't download it directly from the eFax website. I downloaded my eFax and eFax Messenger from PCWorld.com, and you can also download them from CNet.com. Here are some links for you. You could try process of elimination. Clean them out. Run Firefox. Check. Repeat only using Chrome. I've never used Chrome so I don't know if it uses the IE folder to store it's stuff.

Explorer is crashing, probably because of an add-on which has a problem. If you run WERCON, then check the "problem history" link on the left hand side, there might be entries in that list corresponding to your Explorer crashes. If you paste those "appcrash" numbers here, someone might be able to help you work out why it's crashing.
