We have like 5 million posts on the site. Showpost is not included in the 279k, I have disabled including that in the sitemap control panel. Also I have a robots text file that should keep the bots out of the following: User-agent: Mediapartners-Google* Disallow: Allow: / User-agent: * Disallow: /board/admincp/ Disallow: /board/backup/ Disallow: /board/calendar.php Disallow: /board/cron.php Disallow: /board/editpost.php Disallow:...

I'm pretty sure google is smart enough to realize that these are common 'stop words' and they really don't have much ranking power. If it did, searching for 'post' should turn up nothing but forums, right? post - Google Search "thread" thread - Google Search not a ...

Ys, you can (and should) disable showpost. I recommend only including showthread and forumdisplay in the sitemap for any site that has a good amount of posts.

It would be nice if we could add pages on the fly to the sitemap generation utility. We can go into settings and add pages to be included in the sitemap, this would be great!
