Winter cycling gloves ?

I'm looking for waterproof, warmth, and cushioning - which is why I put up with my ski gloves all year - in spite of their shortcomings. And I have enormous hands.

Mostly a sweet ride in today. Had one of those days where I caught pretty much all the lights right, and sailed through. Then, going northbound along Kingsland Road, 100mtr from my work, I'm coming up to the lights by the mosque, and I'm coming along in the inside lane, there's a queue of traffic in the right hand lane. One idiot in a silver Astra decides to pull out from the RH lane into the LH lane, no indicator, no look over...

Barrel o'fuckin laughs yesterday! Fixed my chain, then got a puncture before I even left my office (on a staple!), fixed that, then got another right near the valve, went and got a new tube, put it in, cycled home and now my gears aren't changing smoothly again! This morning was ok.

On the subject of impossibly expensive classic cars, unless it's a replica (and it doesn't look like it) this is a very rare sighting indeed . They only made 3, and they must be worth millions these days. What chances of seeing one at a petrol station...?

On my ET4 I used to get roughly 100 miles per tank. A tank was about £8. My honda 400 gives me 150 for £8 and is way more fun would it be a good thing overall. Hmm, if they raise the level of training up from the laughable CBT, then perhaps. Currently you have idiots who've done 4 hours training, 2 of those on road to pass a CBT, and they think they're valentino Rossi.

I've never had any incident in 9 years of riding in the wet. Go a bit easier on bends and curves, obviously, and account for the need of greater stopping distances, but that's about it. I've even driven in the snow a few times

I see at last that the overground railway companies in London are going to be accepting payg oysters from January - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8373913. stm . Does this mean that they managed to integrate fares between national rail and TfL or is it merely an addition of the ability to use the oyster instead of cash to the existing system? Does this mean that those of us...

Took the bus home tonight... Road blocked. Police laying out numbers. A crumpled jacket or something with a dusting of glass. Broken bike by the side of the road. Bus driver said it was a fatality as he took us on a diversion, no-one grumbled (well, one phone-bellowing massive wanker talked loudly about it as if it was some kind of wild jape).

£7 off ebay direct from hong Kong for both front and back inc shipping. The front ones a bright strobe LED - quite effective. The rear light is LED but a bit dim. Soon as I have some money I'll probably spend upto £30 for quality rear lights. I'm happy with the front ones tho.

Hey all, been away from here for a while but I saw this on a Bike news site I visit a lot and I was just curious. The Outlaws MC now have a prospective chapter in lancashire, and im wondering if they turned a founded club, or are just starting a new one. Only ask because it would be a shame if (only club I know of round here) the Sons of Hell vanished. cheers.

Our street is parallel to a main road nice and straight with a 80 degree bend at one end to rejoin the main road and the only reason to use it is to access the houses and people who live on it. It isn't really a through road IYSWIM As a result there are a lot of kids that play happily outside on their bikes up and down most of the day. The residents are aware of this and drive nice ...
