I walked past there in the summer and noticed some of the buildings you photographed, particularly the "Cosmo Buffet" one. It would be interesting if you could include some "as new" photos in your feature.

Word on the grapevine is that someone wants to build a new hotel on top of Greenwich's covered market, presumably in time for the Olympics. Sounds like it'll never happen I know but I've heard it more than once. I don't live far from either and don't think either has much going for them.
If you're planning to make a day of it, I'd pick Broadstairs because it has a bit more going on and a better beach with more coast line to walk around.
