You are overthinking this a bit I think. If you are really interested in the guy, start showing it instead of trying to read into every little thing he does. None of us know what he is thinking or if he is interested in you. If you want to know then show some interest and see how he reponds.

Who cares how many girls he has slept with in the past? It shouldn't concern you at all because you had never even met him when he had sex with those girls. That is his business and his alone. She told you to wait for a bit so respect her wishes and wait. Don't try to pressure her into hooking up with you if she doesn't want to. Just keep hanging out with her and things can progress from there. Let her know you are interested, but don't be too over the top and scare her away.
