Hey guys. I've been watching this card for a few months now and it's finally at a price I think is fair. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...5&sku=E145- 266 I've read three reviews about it and they all agree its a great card - faster than a stock HD 4870, 90% of the performance of a GTX 280 for $100+ less, cooler and quieter to boot. I had my "finger on the trigger" about to ...

im thinking of upgrading to a 260 from my 9800 ,is there a big diff between the cards ? i realise i dont need to upgrade but its actually 3 upgrades in 1 if i buy it the 9800gtx goes to my 2nd rig and the 8800gts thats in the 2nd rig gets sold to a friend. but ofc it needs to be worthwhile performance increase or theres no point doing it. it will also be my last major upgrade for...

It would seem the 9800M GTX is not supported in version .2.7. Are there any plans to include the card in the next revision?

I just got my EVGA 9800 gtx+ and it came with a connector that inserts in a plug next to the graphic's card fan and then it ends in a 2 pin female. Where do I plug this cord in at? Is it necessary?

I just got one for free, i upgraded someones dell for gaming, one of the nicer wal-mart dells, 3gb DDR800, Q6600, 500gb HD but an 8400GS for the GPU. They wen't and bought an 8800GS for 129 at fry's and said i could keep the 8400GS because they didn't need it. How would this compare gaming wise to an AXP 2600 and a 6800 to an A64 3500 + 8400GS. I think the AXP still wins of course simply by GPU....

Quote: The biggest issue for all Nvidia partners is that there are way too many partners who want to feed off Nvidia's mother ship. Most of the products on market are the same with some minor differences and Nvidia partners are simply trying to get the prices down to be able to sell their products and make some money. This creates a mess and price wars, making ...

Was browsing around on NCIX and found the 9800GX2 has dropped to $320 CDN. http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...nufacture=e VGA Which is marginally more than the GX260 $290 after MIR. http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...nufacture=e VGA Not that I am running out to buy either card but if you were shelling out the cash for one of these which would you pick and why?

Just wondering if most aftermarket coolers that work with the rest of the 8800 series, also work with the 8800 Ultra. If so, what's the best aftermarket cooler under $40 for this card?

Hey guys, I recently just got my 9800GTX+ card today, popped open my case, grounded myself, and installed it into the pci-e x16 slot, connected both 6pin connectors, connected my monitor, powered on my pc, and the screen is black. The video card fan spins, case fans spin, and im pretty sure my hdd is spinning. The thing I did notice was my USB keyboard didn't seem to have power but my mouse...

I guys I have recently purchased an 8800gt. Card seems to be very good except one problem in gaming thats driving me crazy. Anyway system specs are as follows amdx2 6000+ 2 gigs of ddr2 ram and the 8800gt from pny. Anyway, problem is as follows...if I'm standing in a location everything looks great with sometimes upwards of 200+fps. If however I start moving toward a tree or object things ...

So, I've found the 8800 Ultra for less than $200. I'm wondering how the Ultra stacks up against the 9800 GTX, 8800 GTS 512, and HD4850. I've read quite a bit of conflicting information on various websites. What do you guys think? Let's keep the response intelligent. Please no "The 4850 is just better because it just rocks" comments.

I recently purchased a "new" 9800gtx+ from another forum member here. I've been testing the card in my back up rig since my main rig is down for a couple of days. I've run the card through 3dmark06 several times. Each time I receive "starburst" artifacts and "tearing", which is especially bad in "Canyon flight". The artifacts seem consistent, despite the clocks. I've tried 2 of the most recent ...

So i bought a 9800GTX+ OC, which im very happy with, but I'd like to know what exactly the 9800GTX+ is and the difference between the two? I mean, talk about dumb ass naming policies of Nvidia. On the box my new card, it says BFG 9800GTX+, overclocked. Yet, I'm pretty sure there is another 9800GTX+ which has some differences in the chip? Even though they are named the same thing.

Hey everyone; To try and squeeze out a few more frames from my lil' 9600 I decided to try overclocking. I'm using Nvidia's ntune and so far I'm at.... GPU Core clock: 755MHz from 700 GPU Memory clock: 1100 from 1000 with temp around 50-55c under load. My question is how much more do you think I can push it without getting into sketchy territory? Thanks

The difference b/w these 2 cards is only the clock speeds, right ? What are the default clocks for 8600GT . I am going to downclock 8600GTS and bench it as a 8600GT, that would be an accurate benchmark, right ?
