260 should be fine for your monitor, I have 9800 GTs and they are plenty for my gaming needs (my new 22" monitor is coming in today).

Yeah, guess I'll have to try and rma it again. I've thought about things, and realized I still have to put the blame at Nvidias feet, both cards were reference designs because I bought the cheapo model. I'm sure Palit doesn't use sub-standard components, so they made these cards the way Nvidia told them. I believe they will all inherently fail within 6 months. So I'll get another one, and watch it die too! In the...

I never even remove my old drivers before upgrading them and have had no problems. Windows will always install its own VGA driver and it will never interfere with your nVidia driver setup.

Supposing that Nvidia knew very well that the 8800GT and then the 8800GTS-512MB would drive down the prices of 8800GTX that in a couple months it would fall from $500 to $300, Nvidia would've as well went ahead and called the 8800GT a 9700GT and the 8800GTS-512 a 9700GTS. The 9800GTX could've also been called the 9700GTX. That would leave room for a true G90 to be called the 9800GTX. Well, if not a 9900GTX, but here will be the...

Please don't say anything about the 5870 in the picture... I didn't make the chart, and I don't see the purpose. The purpose of it is to show how it would stack up on paper. Using that graph and nothing else...... It looks like Nvidia will edge it out...... But again the article...

I like nV GPUs. But have you considered a ATI 5770? Not only will it completely outperform your older 8800, it will allow you to attach 3 monitors. Perhaps it's worth parting with your older stuff, ebay while it still has some value, get a 5770, enjoy the silence, the better performance, and the conflict free 3 screens.

nVidia needs to do more than leak info to Fud (or anyone else). They need a press release in which they provide full specifications, bare minimum. They're playing the cards all wrong right now, one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen a company make. With all the rumors floating, there's a potential wave of nV fans who within the next month will buy ATI. I read a post that said it well.. "...

You could try and replace the TIM to bring temps down a bit, also maybe a bios mod with changed fan settings, I would be very careful about using it for gaming unless you can either/both of those 108c is dangerously high.

Your 260 should be plenty for a 22inch. I run one and run all my games at max res with no issues. But then I don't do Crysis.

it seems to be a typo on microcenters part.. the 9500gt is the one with 32 stream processors or it could be a special edition 9500gt card crippled to 9400 specs ?
