New York State has some pretty archaic divorce laws. It's one Steve would support, though, as the couple is forced to be separated for at least 12 months prior to filing for divorce. Which is stupid.

I'm thinking now of a political cartoon where two angels are flying past a house. Two people are watching them and notice they carry a "Good Will Towards Man" banner (or some phrase similar to that) and one of the people says "No explicit display of the word ' Christmas' present." The other says "Waste them."

I applaud his motive.
In any case, he's legally well within his rights to refuse to say the pledge. That was established decades ago. I agree with his mother -- the teacher should apologize for trying to intimidate him into saying the pledge.

It looks plausible. At least, I've seen similar websites from bona fide candidates. Lots of crazy people run for office. He'll probably get 10-20% of the vote in the primary and not be heard of again until he runs for whatever office sounds nicest to him during the next election. ETA:
