In 2008 and 2009, the Kennekuk Running Club changed the Siberian Express trail run to Lake Mingo. Since then the DNR of Illinois has reopened Kickapoo State Park, the KRR has brought back all of the previous races to Kickapoo State Park.

So, this past Sunday, I ran the Gift 5K. As I'm on the move I notice something, no mile markers! Only kilometer markers! I was really thrown off. I'm only used to mile splits. I had no clue if I was on pace or not. Now, I'm not complaining, I'm just curious. Is this something thats becoming more common? I've never seen it before, but I kind of hope the mile markers stick around. I don't know if I have enough...
