THat looks like the same issue yes. I was today able to reproduce it, and found a partial fix, but that caused the forums not to reconvert correctly, and causing that a lost posts not to convert, so thats not really a solution.

Don't really understand too much (read: absolutely nothing) about this.. But to make things more simple: is there a way to just import my users? Messages aren't thàt important in fact.[/quote]I just recently used this to convert MyBB 1.4.9 -> SMF 1.1.x and then SMF -> phpBB3 using this converter. Everything worked fine, except all the members passwords were jacked up and the quote feature doesn't seem to work as...

Just so everyone else knows, I jumped the gun on my second post. It did install, I wasnt patient enough to let the results show. Also, if anyone needs to know. The first problem I had with colliding users, I used the test mode to install, the second time I did it, I didnt choose that option and it installed easily. I also upgraded another one this morning and had some parse errors in the french language file, I removed the ' in the French...

That is what I thought. When I installed wamserver and before that when I downloaded and used mysql be itself. When the forum does its check it tells me I have ODBC when I use wampserver (which used MySQL.) Is there any way so it doesn't do the check and I can select what I have? or what am I doing wrong?

Installation instructions: 1. Extract the files from the zip file 2. Upload the files in the root directory to your board root directory 3. Browse to the Administration Control Panel and install the User Import Module. Complete instructions in the MODX format are in the install.xml file included in the package. I also want to migrate my bbpress to phpbb3. So I used this converter. But MySQL errors: #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DECLARE @user_id_jump INT' at line 1 Anyone familiar with this stuff and knows what to do to get this script working?

Hi Everyone, I'm pleased to release this beta of the convertor from SMF 1.1 to phpBB3. It should convert almost everything from your SMF forum to your new phpBB forum. The download should be unzipped into the phpBB root directory, so the auth_smf.php file will end up in the /includes/auth directory (this must be done to allow you to log in following the conversion). Download For my ...

I am getting the error Data source name not found and no default driver specified now. I read around and found out that could be a problem between php and MySQL. I downloaded wampserver to try and solve the problem and it did nothing, I still get Data source name not found and no default driver specified. Help me please.

I tried something.. I downloaded phpbb 2.0.33 or whatever it was and i did a conversion to that.. it worked for the most part but i had to change permissions and i couldnt work out where the moderator groups were but it kept site admins as site admins so that kept me happy at least... I figured i would know more of what I am doing when i convert from 2.0 to 3.0.1... so i do the convert... and ...

I managed to run through the installation again, and it installed this time, however, it is not done correctly? The topics were not transferred, members, it doesnt give me a link to the admin area, etc. The notice I get is Sorry but this board is currently unavailable. Im not really sure what I should do short of uninstalling and reinstalling the board again? Any suggestions?
