Some bad typos there from me, looks like i need a new keyboard as the kids keep eating and drinking at the computer. anjopom good luck in your tapering, when i read what some people are on (on this board) i am suprised to say the least. I think its very important that partners etc understand that emotional blunting takes place with SSRI's ... 5 years later and i am still up in arms about these drugs and i didnt take em!

Hi Inducer, Thanks for writing this post; i have just made my husband read this, as he needed reassurance. I think its equally as hard for the partners , as it is for the victims of these poisons, to understand and get to grips with just how much this drug damages us who take it, and the partners of those who take it.

This is a problem I had in the past with bad relationships. So sad. I wish people had more understanding of this though, inducer you are very lucky to know the reason why.

Yes, the drug in many cases is THE culprit here.

elektos - I agree that your girlfriend will be eternally grateful for you and your understanding of what she is going through. These meds and withdrawal destroy so many relationships, but I believe that the ones who make it through end up stronger.

As eklektos has written I want to say everyone on this site:THANKS! Yes Paxil (Or other drugs) withdrawal is hell and most of the "victims" feel alone without any understanding from family or friends. Here in France we are helpless because doctors do not recognize the discontinuation symptom after withdrawal. I have learnt a lot on this site and found much understanding : that has helped me to pass through very hard periods....

Need some advice Hello to you all, My husband left me in december 2008, saying he felt suffocated, didn't know if he still loved me, wanted to be free en enjoy life. He also left his daughter of 4 years which was his loved one. After 1 week, he wanted a divorce, which at this time is not started yet. For a couple of months, he lived ...

Wow Linlou! You could've written your story about me! I can feel and relate so much to everything you just said! I'm on my 22nd month and feel EXACTLY the same way you do! I lost all the "friends" I worked with-none of them return my calls anymore. And my family! Ditto everything! I now am distant from my sister and brother and other family members that like you said-if it's not a tumor, ...

It's so good to know that there are people out there who are fighting against the overmedication and psychiatric labeling of children. I wish so badly I could go to that conference. One day when I am recovered, I would like to be able to speak to people about what these drugs do to children, especially stimulants administered at a young age. Do you know if there is any way to contact Ginger and ...
