I'm excited about this season, especially as a Mavs fan. The roster turnover this off-season has really been terrific. There's definitely a 1 or 2 year windown on this current group but it's so much better than what the Mavs had. Getting to the 2nd round of the playoffs with Antoine Wright as a starter is definitely an accomplishment. That said, no big man = no deep playoff run. Simple as that. ...

WSCR radio in Chicago reports that a black Lamborghini owned by Bears linebacker Lance Briggs has been found crashed and abandoned.
Briggs reportedly was seen running from the scene of the one-car accident.
Though we don't know whether Illinois law imposes hit-and-run liability for a one-car crash (and we invite any members of the Illinois bar to let us know what the rule is there...

There are two separate qualifying tournaments for the UCL this time around, one for champions and one for non-champions.
Final will also be on a Saturday night for the first time in Madrid.
