No congressional elections in odd-numbered years, other than special elections to fill vacancies. As for NJ, I'm not sure why the margin was as large as it was, given the last polls that showed it was about even, and the Independent was tracking at a much higher percentage than he actually got. Probably people who said Daggett was their choice in that poll got cold feet and voted for Christie. That, and the (at least, I lost count)...

Wow. I really had my doubts this one was going to get through. Special interest groups threw millions against this. Then, the unemployment figures come out the day before? Odds didn't look good. Man, some people worked their butts off to get this passed. I'm impressed!
