Go into your BIOS, change your hardrive mode from "AHCI" to "
compatibility" mode. New HD might use AHCI mode while some of the installation kits do not have AHCI support. Make sure you have updated to the newer version of Rescue and Recovery.... the old version was insecure and got viruses...

What Windows 7 version did you install? Only Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions can enable XP mode. You need to update your video drive which should have included in the Windwos 7 package. You can go into Device Manager, remove the
