Does the Sonesta private beach connect to Maho beach? As of now we don't have plans to rent a car. But if we do, we'll keep those tips in mind. I think that our equipment is a 757. So it'll be a lot of folks, but nothing like a whale or 340. We'll be sure to give ourselves plenty of time.

I don't know. I've been to Maho twice--each just to have a drink. The first time it was a few drinks because we ran into friends. But, it's just ok. I prefer looking at the water and airport from the Flamingo at Simpson Bay--but that's just me.

I love Orient Bay. We like the little beach bar called 5 Continents; nice chairs w/good service. Roy is always there (but it is really close to the wave runner rental section) We usually enter by the salt ponds--whewww are they ever stinky! but interesting) OB has clothing optional beach so you'll see it all--even if you don't look! It is great swimmng tho and the French do have some yummy beach food!! They surcharge CC but they take...

Good luck and have fun! Nick and I had a blast in Hamburg last December! We loved the Miniatur Wonderland museum! Not sure if it's your kind of thing, but it was very cool. YouTube - Miniatur Wunderland *** official corporate video *** largest model railway / railroad in the world

Oh, do I need a vacation! I don't care what the weather is. I need to be away from work! And DH needs to put on some pounds--he's starting to look like our patients. I'll be back on the 15th unless my boss allows me to stay in FLL for my employee's Naturalization ceremony on the 15th. It's a really big thing. She applied two years ago when eligible and was told she needed to wait another two ...

For my time w/ Roger, our little traveling duck, he got to see Monterey, Salinas, and the central coast (all up and down the famed Big Sur). He had a great visit and assured me he felt "at home" w/ all the sea birds! I've attached some pictures documenting his stay. 1. At the beach in Monterey, overlooking Monterey Bay and the Pacific Ocean. 2. Playing in the sand. 3. Taking in all ...

Bill and I got a chance to meet up with his dad, stepmom and little brother in Michigan this week. They rented a lillte house on the lake and we got to take a day trip to Mackinac Island. It was so nice. We walked around all the shops and had an amazing lunch at the grand hotel. If anyone ever gets a chance to go to mackinac Island, I def. recommend it.

TravelNet I know this is nothing new to the Delta folks, but for us this is reason enough to celebrate!! Northwest and its regionals can now use TravelNet. While I'm sure this system has its fair share of hang ups and bugs, it is a dream compared to what we had to use before for nonrev travel. I just listed for a flight to/from MSP this weekend. Loads are pretty iffy so there's no ...

My sis and I are leaving for Germany tomorrow! We're both non-revving, but so far, so good - there's still 20 seats open on our flight (30 if you don't include the other non-revs.) Up until last night, I was going to go without my sis, but she decided last minute to go! I'm so excited! We'll be staying in Hamburg for 3 nights, and Graal-Mueritz (outside of Rostock) for 4 nights. My good friend...

ok--I did a search and came up w/Kristie's mention. Anyone have any tips for 1 full day? never been but he's still iffy about me going (we do this indecision thing often, so it's no big deal except that I always want to go!!? and he's invited me to Prague IF he gets the bid next month) so--is it just a nice walk-around city? Anything special? We arrive on THU midday (naptime!!), and have all...

We have been kinda talking on another post about Hokuspocus' and my trips to Alaska. But I didn't want my report on what is fun and great to do to get lost among our conversations about weather and wishing each other happy travels. So I thought I would start another post and I hope Hokuspocus will add her two cents in from her travels. The Norwegin Peal is an amazing ship. She has that ...

So doug's on vacation now, has been for the past week and will be for the next 2 weeks or so... it's so hard to plan vacation because all he wants to do is stay home and chill...be somewhere for a nice long length of time and all i want to do is something different and relax as well. So, since i know he would like to stay put and just "be", i figured what i'd do, since we don't have our own...

Hi, Ladies! If anyone is interested in the 3 hour NY Circle Line cruise. I have a glut of tickets. I got what I thought was a packet of 4 tickets, but apparently bid on 2 packages, so I have 4 extra to sell (cheap!!) The regular cost is $21 kids, $34 adults. I got the auction for $40 so I'll sell them for same--a steal @ $10 each! I'll even mail them first class! They are good thru Jan 2010...

I am planning to go with DH on his Madrid trip this week. Anyone have any suggestions for a quick day in Madrid? He has his typical walk that he does and his restaurants that he likes, I was just curious if anyone had any places that they enjoyed.
