I always thought ripped jeans were stupid. They looked stupid, plus one rip could lead to more rips, and if you're going to walk around with holes in your pants, you might as well walk around with no pants on at all the same with those pants women wear today where their asscrack hands out

I love the fashion! That's what really appeals to me about the 80s (and parts of the 90s) I mean I loved the expression and eccentricities. Just everything was so much fun. Fashion isn't as fun as it used to be. I miss that. And did Lynda Carter's little spangles bottoms always look like granny panties. I always thought they were higher cut than that.

Popeye must be one of the earliest movies I remember seeing in the cinema as a child. All I remembered was that it was a rather dark film. Anyway looking back on adult eyes, the sets were great and I'd definitely visit! I just need to somehow get me to Malta... hmmm!

Now thinking about this weeks song review. I covered "afternoon delight" the week before and "what should we be singing in the 80's" So I need another 80s (or late 70's) than I can make fun at for Saturdays review? Any suggestions?

They created the village for the movie set… and left it intact when they finished filming. It’s a theme park now! http://www.popeyemalta.com/default.asp It’s in Malta in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, just south of Italy. The movie was one of those weird things, that you either hated or loved. I disliked it when I first saw it, but it kind of grew on me like a fungus over ...

With all of the remakes of films and TV shows so far such as: Knight Rider Friday The 13th My Bloody Valentine Miami Vice and the upcoming ones: Red Dawn The Karate Kid And the bands and toys, coming back, what is it about the 80's and 90's, that appeals to us now? The reason why I ask, is that when the 80's and 90's ended, I got the general feeling, that most people, I knew where...

I have a new favorite 80's song that I never even heard of in the 80's. " She Sells Sanctuary" by the Cult. LOVE this song! I was really more into pop music in the 80's but thanks to VH1 classic I have a new appreciation for some songs I didn't listen to back then. Anyone else?

I've noticed that many child actors and teen stars of the 1980s aren't acting as of today. I think that many of the 1980s child actors/teen stars went into obscurity, maybe even more than child actors of previous and next decades. What do you think? I think many of the child/teen stars of the 80s were great, although many of them faded into obscurity. Let's try to name a few. Examples...

Hey 80s people, I always wanted to know, did Mtv become popular fast or did it take about 2 or 3 years for it to break through to the culture? Please reply. And about what year did Mtv stop playing music videos? (Not literally, they still do, but it's so short).

Ice; I live in New York where they used to sell British Walkers by Palladio in the 70's and 80's. I would love to by some pairs but I don't know where they can be found. I don't believe they are even made anymore. If you have any information I would appreciate it.
