nah dont, unless you can get a really good picture of a whiteboard. i would just draw the whiteboard by scratch. will look nicer IMO.

You dont change the loading part of categories threw the categories.app , you must change it threw each theme , im not sure what its called though

In some apps in their Info. plist there is a key called "UIPrerenderedIcon" if this is present it will not round the corners or add a shine. If you want to stay square you will have to add this key to each Info.plist

of course it will, your device has to run another application other than the stock springboard. But i doubt it would be anything noticeable.
