Was it an invisible lockclock font that came with a theme? If you restored from backup, that would explain why it didn't wasn't fixed. You might just need to SSH the lockclock back in. Do you have OpenSSH or iPhoneBrowser?

ok - so I just finished the update - I am running 3.1.2 and Itunes 9.0.2 and when I first plugged it in, it made a sound, the charge symbol flashed in the battery for a moment and then it disappeared.... I turned the phone off and plugged the cord in and the silver apple logo showed up - so its gotta be doing something! I put the phone into recovery mode and it still wasnt detected in itunes... If you are trying to watch a video and it is flash it will not work. The iphone will not play flash videos.

Sync your contacts with google(?) SMS messages don't get deleted if you update a jailbroken iPhone through iTunes then jailbreak again. Well they never deleted for me anyway

Is all the printing on the back reflective chrome (not white)? If so, it's a 3GS. 32GB says, to me, that it is indeed a 3GS. There was never a 32GB 3G.

Have you tried a sim card from another iPhone? I don't think just any AT&T card will work.

if it's just apps, just pick the account you want to use and download the apps you have on the other machine. once you pay for an app (if you have) you shouldn't have to pay again because it says on your itunes account that you have already purchased it. if they do end up charging you again, talk to apple.

can you post a screen shot? push the power button and the home button at the same time and it will flash. im guessing try a reset by also holding down the power button and the home button until you see the apple logo on the screen.

It will most likely change back to the correct time at some point later today. I've noticed in the past that it took Sprint 10 or so hours to change the Daylight Savings time. I watched my iPhone with AT&T change from 1:59 to 1:00 this morning.
