and even if you unlock it you cant use the 3g on any other carrier(atleast t-mo) because their 3g band is 1700 and att uses 1800 and 850 i believe so it would be like a 2g iphone

Not until it is available toother carriers I suppose.. Apple have not had planned yet I believe. It is still exclusive.

I hope they always keep the same simplistic design. In future years they may make it thinner and with different materials. I just love the overall rectangular design with the large touch screen.

Lol t-mo wishes lol honestly Att does have the fastest 3g buy verizon does have better coverage lol but yea that's why you only got edge band mis match. Except for it not being 3g how does the phone do on t-mobile's network? Family of mine had it on t-mobile and hated it said nothing seemed to work right lol

I would hazzard a guess that the iPhone will now still be locked, however, the carrier can unlock them for a price.

If I were you, I'd wait and see what summer of 2010 brings. Apple will almost certainly introduce a new iPhone model then.

iPhone next year probably will follow suit. As of today the 3Gs doesn't have it. Will most likely need the hardware to support it.

This is what I've waited for since June 2007. Verizon works much better in my area and ALL my family and most of my friends are with Verizon. So I use a lot of minutes, txt, etc. on non-AT&T people. I hope it is true because I will pay the ETF and say goodbye to AT&T in a blink of an eye. Thanks for posting that. I have hope.
