I have almost completed bringing my old
snowboarding game, Slope Rider, up-to-date to run natively on Intel Macs and I am posting here for beta testing. ** Link removed. Check back soon **. It requires 10.4 or greater but aside from that it should run well on any modern hardware. If you test the game and report back here or email me I will gladly give you a registration code to play all ...

I don't think I've posted a new build of any of my Chipmunk Demos on the iDG forums for quite a while. http://files.slembcke.net/temp/ChipmunkDemo.app.tg z I got all excited about the newest demo in particular. It's a reproduction of one of these using Chipmunk.
For the uninitiated, Chipmunk is a fast and easy to use 2D physics engine. http://code.google.com/p/chipmunk-physics/

A couple of weeks ago I started a Breakout style game for the Chipmunk competition. I was working at the same time and didn't really get very far at the time, but I've played with it a bit more and it has started to turn into a game. It's based on the InkuGame code (with modifications to most of the files I kept and, obviously, all new game logic). At the moment my plan is to make a few ...

Hello, I recently found an old game project when looking at some backups. I remember I had some issues with the
physics engine working differently in Mac and Windows (on the same computer), so that the speed or something was different. Ie things moved slower or faster on Mac than Windows. Since my Macbook broke down I cannot test how it is in Mac right now, I would really appreciate if some...

I know everybody and their uncle is doing this now, but hey, I had to show a screenshot and say "me too". It's not anything near perfect. I need to prevent near occlusion from
shadowing distant surfaces, and so on. But I'm pretty happy with this as a start at least.

Greetings all! My first post and glad to be here. Classic role-playing on a modern Mac, Ultizurk IV is progressing well. I had been working on this for almost seven years back on Windows, but am now porting to the Mac. There is much done, but much left to do. Hardest thing I ever did programing this! Designed from scratch, it uses
my own self-made "engine". Perhaps not as ultra-fancy as a...

My friend for a 'final' project for a lower level
java class had to make a oldschool console game in which you navigate a simple dungeon with doors/keys and collect a candle/match to scare a way a Grue guarding the door to a treasure room. He thought it would be funny if he made the console version, and I made a real time on which he could turn in as a joke to see what the teacher would do....

I submitted my first iPhone/iPod touch game to Apple earlier this week and just got my website updated with screenshots and a gameplay vid: Pinch 'n Pop! Product Page It uses the excellent Chipmunk for physics (thanks Scott!) and barring any unforeseen glitches will hopefully show up in the app store in the next week or two.
