There is gigging through a booking agency and then the gigging we do. We don't do the bars, honk-a-tonk, dance halls, etc any more. Most of our gigs come from word of mouth or monthly gigs we've been doing for years. Some are paying gigs, like fish fries, birthdays, club functions, street dances, local functions like the the Sweet Potato Festival or Iron Horse Days and then sometime we will play for free if we like you or your cause...

ya, now with internet there are some upsides and downsides for musicians as i see it.
in the past what was really good was you need a musician in order to hear music. but still the great ocmposers got the most cash. what ended up happening, is that poor people could only listen to music at your local pub, and the rich would teach their children to play their piano.
but the composers got ...

common lengths for verses and chorus' tend to be 8-16 bars, if its in between its more than likely 12 I figure. Two verses next to eachother is not very common, but if it sounds good then what does it matter but maybe you should class it as just one verse? who knows. Also your structure mite be acting like a typical AABA structure but then changes at some point.... in any case it doesn't matter...

I think there is another thread on dual guitar harmony going at the moment.
You may want to check that.
Edit:
