Before another topic is completely highjacked, I thought I would start this one. This could have just as easily gone under politics, if the moderators are so inclined to move it. What are people's thoughts? Should the city stick with a metropolitan
planning commission, or move to a city one? What are the pros and cons?

How do you add density without freaking out the neighborhood? From attending neighborhood meetings over the years, I've come to the conclusion that people in
single-family homes are terrified of apartment buildings and multi-family dwellings. Obviously, we need apartments, condos, lofts, etc, in addition to single-family homes. Because of retiring baby boomers/empty-nesters, an increasing ...

It was an excellent
turnout. There are a lot of people interested in this program and I was pleased so many people want to be involved.

-It would connect
OSU-Tulsa with the Brady District. -It would not separate downtown from North Tulsa, and thus encourage development beyond the I-244 boundary. -It's in horrible condition and is just more tax dollars going to waste for years to come. -You already have a detour taking the I-444/75 route on the east side of the IDL. -The only people this would be a pain for is commuters ...

I think this may be the most heavily biked road in the city, just from my observations. I feel the obligation to make this road from Denver Ave. (or Riverside through the
residential area?) all the way to at least Harvard into a one lane road with turning lanes and two bike lanes on each side. How can we got about this? I need some help, I'm just an overly opinionated college bum here in my 20...

Lately, I've been thinking about a few pictures that John Fregonese showed at the TulsaNow "PLANiTULSA" event. They pertain to the absurdity of single-occupancy vehicles...and how much infrastructure we waste catering to the needs of one driver/one car. These pictures really
stuck with me, so I wanted to share them. Food for thought.

Does anyone know what's going on? It looks as if
the carpenters are striking.

Not sure if this has already been commented on but the
Mayo Building (in Bartlett Square) is apparently becoming a new downtown YMCA. I walked by at lunch and saw blueprints laying on the floor near the window. Some construction is going on inside as well. This is pretty cool if it actually come to be!
