Maximum speed for Belt feeders Hi everybody, I am designing a belt feeder to convey coal at 450 TPH, having 35 deg troughing,1200mm wide belt and BD of 850 Kg/cu.m. while I was calculating the capacity for optimum selection I found that the feeder has to run at 1 m/s. but I am in doubt for the maximum speed for belt feeders. Many of readymade belt feeder manufacturers suggests a ...

Soft-start for inching Greetings, I am a mechanical co-op student on my first work term with the project management arm of a fertilizer plant. I was given a small project in our granulation building. I was to install a inching drive on one of the drag conveyors. The inching was to be used during plant maintenance to inspect the drag and to find problems, not for usage ...

Filling factor in a chain feeder Filling factor we have used while calculating the capacity of buckets of a bucket wheel reclaimer. I do not know about the filling factor of chain feeder. But can you write clearly what factor you want to calculate. Regards. A.Banerjee

Tension criteria for concave curves When checking the lift off radius for concave curves what criteria do you normally use for determining the belt tensions used in calculating the radius? I normally assume the following: - Belt is loaded 80 to 100 % up to the tangent point; - Belt top cover is 60 % worn; - Conveyor is starting.

Adapter sleeve breakings I am coming across few adaper sleeves of taper bored spherical roller bearings, of any size, are found sheared along their circumfrance. After this damage both the parts are separated. That is the adapter sleeve will be taken out in two rings. One will be in front of the bearing and another will be behind. We are not tightening the bearing beyond it's ...
