^ Can my GF come see the puppy before she gets her shots? She wouldn't bring her dog.. Although she'll have her scent and what not.. I need the puppy to stop playful biting people because when she gets comfortable she starts to bite down harder! So you guys recommend that she sleeps in a crate from the get-go? How big of a crate?

Pick who you socialize with carefully. Make sure they are UTD on shots! Remember that your puppy has had NO shots and she is losing the immunity she got from her mother. Make sure the will not be to rough with your puppy so she doesn't get scared or hurt. Your puppy needs more than one set of shots. Read the puppy section, look online, find lots of information, ask lots of questions. Go do yourself and your parents a favor and get a...

That incident was the first time I have ever seen Chief react that way, I didn't know it was in him! He is aloof and reserved with most people, but seeing him full on charge at someone was scary(unless it's in a situation where someone is trying to harm me or him then a charging and biting would definitely be warranted!)

Ahhh yes, and I love it. Of course, I may not when she gets older and starts shedding-lol, but she really stood out in her litter and I knew right away that she was the one. I think she's going to be a really beautiful black and red. I can't wait to see how she turns out fully grown, and I plan to take pics of all her growth stages, but she's growing so fast and I see changes in her every day!

I like this for a vaccination schedule, and don't let them give the rabies shot with another set of vax, should be separate. http://www.itsfortheanimals.com/DODDS-CHG-VACC-PROTOCOLS.HTM Agree, get a crate, have the pup sleep in your room, so you can comfort her if she starts in...and easy to get her out to potty a couple times a night.

The biting is normal. That is how puppies play and explore and interact with their world. GSD puppies are NOTORIOUS biters!!! The way to get it under control is to re-direct. Always have toys on hand, and when puppy starts biting, shove a toy in her mouth and PLAY! That is what she needs, interaction, play time. The only way they know how to play is to bite, because that is how they played wiht their littermates. So you need to reprogram that...

Hi and welcome! Titan is a great looking GSD! I live in downtown Houston
but will hopefully be relocating to Kingwood sometime next year. I sure do
miss it there! Do you ever bring Titan to the Kingwood dog park? There's a
great group of people that go there.

Sorry about not having any pics up yet. She's keept us up the past 2 nights and as soon as I get home I have her out walking in the yard and other random things to get her used to her surroundings. I love her to death though. She has a lot of drive. Can't wait to start training her.

Welcome! Quality puppies from reputable breeders will run you nearly 1,000 dollars. With German Shepherds being so overly and poorly bred, you want to make sure you research the heck out of breeders and do your homework, make sure the breeder does health and genetic testings on their breeding stock and the dogs are titled in sports or conformation. 400 dollars is a BYB( backyard breeder) price ...

Welcome, what a pretty little girl! Don't worry, as long as her ears were
up before teething it shouldn't be a problem.
