Thank you for the link. It reads nicely, but unfortunately, there is no identification of the "animal health nutritionists" nor is there any link to any studies by universities or other organizations/hospitals. My personal view is there is not enough good data here to make a judgement.

It aids in the absorption of the omega-6 and Omega-3 makes it "work better." And my guy is almost 2 and gets 3 1000mg caps a day. And 1 400 iu Vitamin E.

The only one who might have to be a permanent foster is Maximus, the fellow who got tied to a tree and beaten with a metal bat. He is an awesome dog, but he certainly CAN be reactive at times. He is huge, strong and the nicest dog in the world as long as you are in his inner circle of friends. If anyone knows a retired Marine Corp Sgt, who is gay, (hence no grandkids in his future) that lives on a remote mountain top that is looking for a...

I give about 2-3 tablespoons of the canned pumpkin every day and it never causes the runs. If anything, i'd like her poops to be a little less firms. Sometimes they make thumps when they hit the ground because theyre so firm. Anyways, i highly recommend the pumpkin. It's healthy and the dogs love it.

I would give him a gel cap at each meal, along with only one 400iu of vitamin E daily. A dog the size of a GSD can have as many as 4000mg of fish/salmon oil per day.

Just keep in mind that while EVO looks pricey per bag, because it is high quality and high calorie, you could easily end up feeding less and therefore costing less per day to feed than another brand that has a cheaper BAG price but less calories. If it was me, I'd go with California Natural though any of those choices would be a good one. Though I think Canidae is made by Diamond....

I remember a recall a few years ago of Diamond foods, I think there was
melamine in it. But nothing current. Maybe it's old food? Check the dates.

That's a good price for the EVO. At my Complete Petmart, the "regular" price for the new fish formula is $70. It's on sale this week for $54.88, and I have a $4 off coupon. I am going to call my mom and ask her to go pick up a second bag for me, as I can't get there before the sale ends on Saturday. For now, they only show one size kibble on their website (Natura). ~Kristin

Would you consider switching foods? Eukenuba is not a very good food, it is filled with useless fillers that aren't good for dogs.

not just dog food but people food too..... any product that uses grains
could potentially be impacted. companies have tests in place for molds like
this - it is nothing new. doesn't mean stuff doesn't get through, just like
salmonella - not going to stop feeding meats to my dogs because of that
risk - i just manage my level of risk.
