Well, I wouldn't necessarily say proofed...but good enough to continue safetly working on it off leash. It IS a huge step in that direction though.

Yesterday I tacked the leaves in the yard. Tank was with me as dh was hanging lights. Well neighbor's boxer comes out and so Tank of course has to head to fence and get all his fur up and act like a brat. Prince just snorts through the fence. So we worked on Quiet. He did really good and got treats and praise for being a good neighbor. So then I had to got the rake from the sideyard. I took Tank to other side of yard, put him in a...

AllieG: HAHAHA. I wish. One of the dogs that he ALWAYS goes for is a huge GSD. Those two have no tolerance for each other. I think the next step is to slowly try standing closer to the other dogs and see how that goes. Fingers crossed. I would LOVE to be able to leave the halti at home, and not cross the street when we meet other people walking their dogs. The weird thing is that one of our neighbors has a whippet, and Shadow gets along great...

Some of you know that I do not have a fenced in yard. Well because of that, I have to put Gianna on a tie out when we go out to potty or to play. The few times I have tried to go out off lead with her, she has always taken off to the neighbors house and will NOT come to me. Well, she would eventually, but it was when SHE wanted to and not when I called her. Yesterday I enlisted in DH's help ...

Shadow and I have been working on him lunging etc at other dogs when on leash. It's been a real problem since he was attacked a few months ago. We can loose leash walk on a flat collar no problem, until we come into contact w/another dog, then he goes nutso. Today, we went to pick up my kids from their school. Many people take their dogs, and I try to stay a fair distance from the other ...
