No, all BitTorrent clients behave the same. They need -all- the content. You are deleting parts of the torrent. The whole thing is required.

Ultima , I must apologize to you. I badly understand what you wrote about. I thinked you described current situation and I was confused you wrote nonsenses... I am sorry for my bad English and for my defensive stance. I read it twice again and I saw what I did not see before...

WebUI already allows this as of µTorrent 2.0. µTorrent Adder takes advantage of this and allows it to be done via commandline, with profiles for each machine and all. Built in passing to other clients on the network seems outside the scope of something µTorrent itself should be doing.

Cool. If this could be linked to the features in the ongoing label discussion, I think that would be best. (in point, allowing a label to be assigned to a web-added torrent, and have the download follow the rules assigned to that label.) Feel free to lock this thread if that covers this request's features. Thanks!

I fully understand the development cycle of software, I've been a developer for over 20 years. I apologize for coming across as obnoxious, as Agouti so kindly pointed out. The reason I'm irked over this topic is that it's been 'in the queue' for years, and keeps getting pushed down the priority list while other new functionality is being thought up and developed. The functionality is...

set options on a per label basis
Published (2009-11-22 20:32:00)
Ah! I see there's a request partially quite similar to my need. I want to endorse the request for Label rules as well. Let's me restate my post here. I want to be able to 'right click' on the main window and have a menu to create a special queue [it can be Label] then name it. (it may be better if this queue is acted like force start) When I add a new torrent I can 'right click' on the torrent in main window and...

Bah, I were a fool not to do proper research prior my inquiry... DHT and PEX works like a charm on the public torrents and are disabled (probally by that option from their side) by default. Thank you for a quick reply though.

currently the seed while function works so that if either condition ( ratio less than 1/X or time less than X ) is true then seeding will continue. I belive most trackers implementing ratio and/or time rules have rules something like: - you should always seed until your ratio is atleast 1/X OR until X hours has passed Therefore I suggest that it be made possible to change the OR rule in the "seed while" function to an AND...

You make my point exactly! Why send them to a place that can only confuse them? The install says GO HERE! and you get confused right away.

I would really love to see this also...I'm not so bothered about the jump list per se, but for those who don't keep utorrent running all the time it would be incredibly useful to have the progress bar of a specific download in the icon, a la explorer's copying function. I also believe it's fairly easy to implement: http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/develo … fault.aspx

It's already implemented. Stop the torrent job and moved the files. Right click on it, Advanced > Set Download Location. You can do that for each files within a multifiles torrent in Files tab (and renaming a file too). uT manual: press F1 in uT.

Trackers indicate "working" here. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=64645 Must be an ISP-related issue. Other users are experiencing the same thing with their ISPs. Edt : Oh, you were asking for µTorrent to overlook the lack of a peers list. In that case, read the specs . It clearly states that the peers key is required : Tracker responses are bencoded dictionaries. If a ...

Makes some sense to me. I still think µTorrent should continue to default to downloading those files ( utorrent.chm, utorrent.lng, webui.zip) to %appdata%\uTorrent if they don't already exist in the same directory as utorrent.exe. The only time it should use the executable directory to store those files is if they already exist there (they were manually placed there by the user). Rationale...

An even easier and cleaner UI change that would enable this would be the possibility of dragging a torrent up or down the priority queue. Sort by #, click and hold on torrent, drag mouse up or down, release torrent into it's new queue location

http://trac.utorrent.com/trac/ticket/2 Very old, and very well-known request. µTorrent 2.1 will, as far as I know, have a way for users to select a list of download directories for WebUI to use.

I'd use this heaps, if it were available! Most of my torrents these days are from one particular ratio site, so I get away with setting my default settings to suit that site, then changing them on a per-torrent basis for any others I download. But if this feature existed, it'd make things HEAPS more flexible!
