Hi, I have just moved to Nashville TN and had searched to find no Kali or JKD here. So, I am looking for others interested in training. This isn't exactly a Kali issue, but I was speaking with yet another JKD instructor last night who is shying away from using the JKD name because of both the arguments between original/concepts/nucleus/etc. groups, and the fears that the Lee family is trying to enforce a trademark on "Jeet Kune Do" that would force those using the name to pay them a licensing fee. I have trained in a JKD offshoot from Larry hartsell lineage.... I have my notes that are incomplete, misspelled, and not very organized. Some of the JKD makes more sense now.. I started in JKD and then did some pure wing chun and then some pure FMA.. Alot more of what we did in class makes more sense in retrospect. I really liked the wing chun for empty hand encounters and of course the FMA for weapons encounters.
