ok i found out its just a turbo 16g, so i bought a kit for it to do a boost leak , what must i do now? but it on the turbo and put compressed air on it 1 psi ?

One of my EFI books says that Max fuel economy is @ 15.4 AFR. Another one of my books, says you may be able to get away with 16:1 I havent tested either of these, as I have never worried about MPG with the EVO. If I was to, I would try 15.4

Ok, cool I'll get everything ready before I come down. I'll probably wait till it warms up a bit, get some better E85. Any way to know if you have the xml file? It would save me having someone fallow me or me having to tow it. Thanks!

yep with you so far, then save the file, but what then? how does this affect anything thats in the hex file, im sometimes a bit slow on things but i just dont seem to get what to do.... ok i select a xml file i would like to modify, i alter it, save it in a folder, then whats the procedure next,how do i transfer this into the rom/hex file, sorry to be a pain in the arse...john

I posted up a few weeks back and tried all of the sugestions but nothing helped. Its not boost pressure thats the issue, its cylinder pressure. Timing has a big factor in how much boost your can run, and also what the motor likes or dosent like. My setup gt4294 2.4, and I run 32 33psi on straight 93 pump gas with 13-14 degrees of timing, and my a/fs are around 11.5 11.7 and my knock on aem is 1.5 2.0 max which is usually driveline, and other noise.

I am on a stock 9 turbo at 31 psi no knock 12.0 afr and it pulls very good.

Depends on the turbo. I was able to run 29psi on 92 octane with my ETS 3586 and some careful tuning. My car goes from 496whp at 23 to 540s at 26psi, so even if you didnt get super crazy even the next 3psi could make a difference.

evoscan help
im trying to scan the DTC on my evo 4 using evoscan, got a openport 1.3D cable, i use MUTTII EFI then click dislay DTC , i get , initialization complete, waiting for init response , ecu ID : 00FF, connection succesfull, no repsonse from vehicle ecu, check dtc complete, does that mean it has no codes to display ??...

look in the vendor section under brakes. There is a vendor with a setup of pads, rotors, lines, and all sorts of packages at different price point.
at less than 50 posts you cant chime in there, but you can PM the vendor you find in there.

i think its good for bigger turbo setups.. if ur just running stockish turbo setups.then theres no need to spend all that money. it wouldnt hurt to use it tho. the real question u need to ask urself is y ur running that rnr turbo kit lol??

hi everyone, can someone explain how you use an xml file?...i know they can be altered but.thats about as far as i know, i'm always keen to learn so nows the time to ask..is it just used with a certain type of rom....i use ecuflash which uses hex files, any help/explanations much appreciated.....
