Speed Density IPW Drop Out on...
Published (2009-11-30 00:54:00)
I've been through the subroutine in the 9653 and 8859 ROMs that determines the weighting factor for the running master load average. After looking at both subroutines, its become clear that setting the over/under value to 255 will fix the low rpm stutter, but it will limit the load-based acceleration enrichment under heavy load conditions, so this may not be the best solution. I have found another way to stop the low load stuttering...

It's interesting that you say that as I had noticed some different acceleration enrichment type behavior. I wasn't sure if it was just my mind playing tricks on me though. I'll make the change and report back.

Will definitely share any new info that I acquire. A few questions - The Decel Fuel Cut tables, should i make all of the tables (Decel Fuel Cut Delay #1,#2,#3 ) the same using the values you posted - 32 61 80 95 95 95 95 I also noticed something I have never seen before...when i first start the car it runs rich with negative timing for a while @ idle. Is this normal?, because before (on 96260009) when i first start the car it never ran...

no i think change all tables to the lower value from 9653 table 2... or just change table 3 to the above... i have had decel issues even on 9626 so either of the two work... obviously making all the lower values means even less fuel... but it still pops for me.

Not sure if this helps, but I'm under the impression that load doesn't go up as your power goes up. I was hitting 280 load with a huge boost leak (so wgdc was high)... as soon as I fixed my boost leak, lowered wgdc, my load dropped to ~250, but my power went up.

Hey Guys/Girls, I've searched and searched but still can't find any solutions to my problem. i have tried both mistulogger and evoscan and both seem to have the same problem occurring. Warning: You may not pass an emissions test by using this method. I turned off the EGR by changing FCA bit 9 to 0. This will pass MA emissions which are fairly strict. I see EVAP is listed as FCA bits 13 and 14. I have no tested those yet but will hopefully in the near future.

The older ecus also had MAF signal scaling. At low airflow, both the rising and falling edge of the signal was counted. At high airflow, only the falling edge was counted. This allowed the ecu to keep up at high Karmen Hz, because only half of the signals where counted. And also have high resolution at low airflow. I am unsure if the newer evo ecus have the MAF signal scaling, but...

Sounds good to me...Here's some questions... If running the omni 4 bar, would you want to scale your load on the big maps to the max of the sensor (what is it 405 or 450?), or would you want to scale it to your max actual load that you see on a normal basis? 320 is my max load. I've also noticed people with lower posted loads (minimum) than I've seen on my car. For example, I've seen ...

I cheat. I use the EGR advance map to do most of the work, but I will set the timing map "bvase" value at 35-38* and add 8* on the EGR map and let it do what it wants. Couple it with open loop lean cruise or WB feedback determined lean cruise and voila its better than it was. 25-27 is my normal on the big turbo now with large cams. S1s and my 275s still saw 26ish with a Green.
