They usually have slight differences and it's usually best to just stay with your own country's firmware version. I currently use a EU version for my RP614 or whatever netgear router for the past 6+ months tho and I am in the U.S using their router from here.
I only went to this version tho because I guess my old version causes

i use RDC free.
If am out of the house, i uses logmein.
radmin (havent tested this yet though)
